If we love, we confront
in 2016 I’ve been thinking... if we love we confront. confrontation comes from difference. difference shall not be normalized.
we have different backgrounds, skin color, privileges, experiences, beliefs, nationalities, passports, upbringings... difference is not displayed by choosing our profile picture. accepting state money to talk about issues which are not our own is dangerous, it should be done, and it should be questioned.
most of all what we consume have been created by someone oppressed by our desires.
we seem to envy the ones who create by oppressing them with our privileges.
we use our privileges to extract, plunder, rape, and later we rename the process “appropriation” or “transformation”...
we are as displaced from our actions as a fish-stick is still a fish.
we turn our heads to a side afraid to look reality straight in the eyes.
can we understand what we haven’t experienced?
Politics and economy are global. your vote might drop my blood on the floor.
all economies are bind together.
the ones in power can have a common understanding throught profit. profit connects religious, cultural and racial differences.
confrontation is the common language of the ones who seek an alternative.
in 2016 I have been learning to be less chauvinist, racist, cis-normative, judgmental, oppressive by accepting that it all have been embedded in my body.
