Anti-cybernetic steambath. Free your ass and the mind might follow.
The installation observes our physical relations with cybernetic systems. Project was initiated by Caetano’s research on cybernetics, the installation was developed in collaboration with artists Jan Hopf, Leandro Nerefuh and Maria Guggenbichler.
A smaller space was created inside the exhibition space which created an autonomous system inside the exhibition space structure. Elevated floor covered the plumbing and electrical installation. Walls reduced the space to create intimacy. Inside was installed heating, shower, benches, two designated areas for plants, a sound piece which played once visitors moved around the linoleum floor and a steam room. Before reaching this space, the visitor would find the shop where there was a large table with several readers and books sharing the research behind the project, the main server, towels and an area to undress.
